The Center Organizes A Workshop On Means Of Developing Volunteering Work


  

HADAF Center For Human Rights organized a workshop under the title " Means Of Developing Of Volunteering Work ", in the presence of Dr. Yusef Safi ( HADAF's Executive Manager ), Mr. Muhsen Al-Franji ( Journalist and Lecturer at Islamic Univ. ), and ( 40 ) female and male youth from volunteers in NGO's, within its project " Promoting Youth's Rights And Civic Engagement ", funded by ( EU & NHRF ).
The workshop started by a presentation from Dr. Yusef Safi who welcomed the guest and participants, expressing his deep gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Muhsen Al-Franji as he was the first to publish news about the first activity implemented by HADAF in 2004 which was the cornerstone for HADAF's visibility, ad number of visitors to HADAF's website has reached more than 150,000 visitors. He also added that three is some kind of misunderstanding regarding the concept of volunteering work among youth category who think that it is some sort of activity through which they can realize financial gains, rather than an activity that renders services to the society and nation.

On the other side, Mr. Muhsen Al-Franji thanked HADAF for its clear interest with youth issues, and media issues, stressing that volunteering work is a need for every university students, even a need to every person either employed or unemployed, and either female and male.

He added that volunteering is a high humanitarian value shedding light on the volunteering movement in the international developed world. He also expressed his great surprise for decrease of numbers of volunteers in the Palestinian Society, stressing that every Palestinian who can gain others port of the time, money, experience, culture is an individual who deserves our respect.
